Who we are

The property was renovated in 2017 by the Dan and Kelly Oswalt family. For over 60 years, the corner of West Prairie Street and Boulevard served the village of Vicksburg as a car dealership and a landmark. After the dealership moved to a new location, the building lay vacant for several years, Dan Oswalt went from thinking “someone should do something to that old building” to “we should do something.”  Dan, Kelly and there three daughters, Megan, Emily and Katie, renovated the building, along with many friends and talented contractors. For several years all three had involvement in the wedding venue. Today, their oldest, Megan, operates the venue. More recently in the spring of 2025, Joe Stoddard and Todd Neuman, founders of Latitude 42 and brothers, entered a partnership with the Oswalt family, creating Station 42. Joe and Todd are co founders of both the Kalamazoo and Portage locations. They also started Blue Kitchella, an innovative fresh fast food company that specializes in delicious gourmet offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Station 42 is an all inclusive venue with the ability to host both intimate gatherings as well as large weddings and events. The main space, R&R Weddings and Events, has an incredible full service bar, ready rooms, included decor, a quaint chapel with a capacity of 250, and The Boulevard Room, large enough for 300 of your favorite people. The outdoor space is furnished with seating and a large outdoor cocktail pad, complete with outdoor games and string lights overhead.  The property also includes, The Prairie Room, where you can host a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, corporate event, or brunch. Perfect for hosting groups of 35-70, enjoy our all inclusive food and beverage packages. This space will also soon hosts small plate pop up dinners, curated by talented chefs from Latitude 42!

  • Hey there! I’m Megan, former art teacher turned wedding wrangler. I helped renovate this place back in 2017 and haven’t stopped creating magic here since. I’m married to my best friend, JT, mom to my sweet Josie in heaven and to our busy little guy, Owen. When I’m not running events, I’m probably outside, soaking up time with family and friends, or pretending I have time to paint again.

  • Hi there! My name is Ruby! I have been a part of the R&R family for 3 years and am so honored to be a part of this expansion process into Station 42. You'll see me around the property helping out with all kinds of events, but my main role is managing our social media content. I take pride in keeping our current couples up to date on what we offer and all the changes to the space. I also have so much fun with new content ideas to bring new faces to Station 42! I feel incredibly lucky to be in a business full of love and celebration.
